G DATA Antivirus Review

Data antivirus detects malicious software, often referred to as malware, and eliminates it from laptops and computers. The malicious software is created to damage your device and steal data. Malware can be downloaded onto your computer through an email attachment or a USB drive or a shady website.

Most anti-virus software uses three detection methods to identify malware that include: specific detection (looking for distinct sequences of bytes that identify the malware) and generic scanning which searches for bits of malicious code that are found in other viruses; and heuristic analysis, which examines suspicious file structures. Some of the most effective antivirus software combines these methods to guard against the broadest range of threats.

G DATA combines these with other features, including parental control to limit children internet use; banking security that prevents hackers from intercepting your online shopping or bank details; cloud backup that saves encrypted files on servers, not in the device itself; and iOS security that scans apps for content that could be harmful. The firewall is also in place that monitors data coming in and outgoing data. A phishing blocker prevents criminals from gaining access to information through sites controlled by them.

G DATA has an excellent real-world protection score. This means it’s unlikely to misinterpret regular files for harmful ones, and will have a minimal impact on the device’s performance, which means it won’t consume a lot of your computer’s resources. The cost ranges from $39 per year for one device up to $72 for five devices.
